Elifnur Sunger is a Ph.D. candidate at Northeastern University’s Cognitive Systems Laboratory (CSL). She received her B.S. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Middle East Technical University (METU) in 2021. Her research interests focus on machine learning applications in healthcare. Recently, she worked on explaining black-box models for Retinopathy of Prematurity classification and developed a Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) typing task using noninvasive EEG as a partially observed Markov decision process.
